Vault Privacy Policy

Vault is a Discord application, operated by ThynkQ, that creates structural backups of servers it is added to. This policy describes what Vault reads, what it stores, and how a server owner can have that data deleted.

• The server audit log, scanned for Vault’s own create entries by their reason string as each create is applied. Reading the audit log needs the View Audit Log permission. No member id is read or stored.
• Server structure: channel names, categories, positions, topics and settings; role names, colours, permissions and hierarchy positions; permission overwrites; webhook names and their channel; emoji names; and server-level settings such as name, icon reference, verification level, notification defaults, explicit content filter level, AFK channel and timeout, system channel, and boost progress bar setting.

Message content, message history, attachments, reactions, direct messages, voice activity, and member lists beyond what a role's permission overwrites already reference by id. There is no code path in Vault that requests the MESSAGE_CONTENT or GUILD_MEMBERS intent.

Snapshot data is stored in a database operated by ThynkQ, keyed to the Discord server id. Data is retained until you delete the snapshot with /backup delete, which removes it immediately, or until you remove Vault from your server. Removing the app deletes every snapshot, restore job and schedule row we hold for that server, in the same pass. A schedule row (the server id, the frequency you chose and when you last changed it) is kept for as long as Vault stays installed, including while scheduling is switched off.

We do not sell or share your server's structural data with any third party. Payment processing for the paid tier, when it is enabled, is handled entirely by Discord's own Premium Apps billing. We never see or store payment details.

• Deleting a snapshot with /backup delete removes it from our database immediately.
• Removing Vault from your server stops all future collection.
• Removing Vault from your server deletes everything we hold for it, in the same pass. Email us if you want that confirmed.

Vault is a server management tool and is not directed at children.

We will post material changes to this policy before they take effect, and the date at the top will change.
